Hello, Mark here,in beautiful North Yorkshire.
Thanks for visiting my page. I'd just like to give you a brief insight into my background.
I come from a farming background, which consisted of arable and livestock. I spent many happy hours enjoying the open spaces and the animals. My playground was a vast array of open fields where I learned to drive a tractor at the age of 11 - I felt like I was "king of the road" - that tractor was my Ferrari!!
The livestock side of the farm was very demanding, without question, seven days a week.
My local Primary school - get this - had a maximum of 28 pupils throughout the whole school, most of the pupils coming from a farming background. There were a few pupils who came from families who were stationed at a nearby Royal Air Force base and through making friends with them I soon learned that there were other things in the world apart from farming.
Imagine the shock I got when I left Primary school and went onto High school with a pupil population of around 600!! The opportunity to learn, the opportunity to discover - it was exciting and the possibilities were endless and because of this I gained confidence to go out there and make it for myself and make it happen.
On leaving High school I trained for four years in the food industry and started my own business. 25 successful years in business offline and 5 years online.
During that time many things changed in my life, I met and married Mary and we have a 10 year old son - which is life changing in itself. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy time together as a family, had some fantastic holidays - in fact we have a good lifestyle. This has all been possible through hard work, continuously learning and pushing my business forward.
Exciting times!!
MY HOME TOWN
Selby, a North Yorkshire market town nestled within the Vale of York with the River Ouse on one side, which runs into the North Sea, and the Canal on the other side that goes all the way to Liverpool. It has a rail link directly to the city of London.
Selby is a traditional market town. There are approximately 11.500 houses. We have a market place and every Monday traders come from surrounding areas to sell their goods from the market stalls. There are a large variety of goods, fruit & veg. clothes, shoes, books ...the list is endless.
Bank Holidays attract even more stallholders and consequently visitors from miles around visit "The Selby Market" - this is a tradition going back many many years.
The skyline is dominated by our beautiful Abbey, Selby Abbey, which has links to America through a stained glass window "The Washington Window" which dates back to the 14th century and bears the heraldic arms of the Washington family and the model for the American flag.
Although Selby is a small town there have been lots of changes over the years to bring it into the modern world, but basically it remains very much the traditional market town it has always been.
The two loves of my life Mary & Frank I'm a Ferrari 360 Modena!
You've got it all. Power, passion, precision, and style. You're sensuous, exotic, and temperamental. Sure, you're expensive and high-maintenance, but you're worth it.
