| Additional interests: |
Playing the drums, reading (mostly autobiographical, non-fiction), creative writing (have ambitions to be a writer someday), social networking, travelling. These are in no particular order - it just depends on what my spontaneous decision is at the time!, I also enjoy stand-up comedy.. Billy Connolly is an absolute hero of mine! I know he swears alot, but he tells it like it is. The late, great Richard Pryor is another legend. I also enjoy Steven Wright, Denis Leary, Chris Rock, Bill Cosby, Martin Lawrence, and South Africa's very own Barry Hilton (The Cousin). Other South African comedians I enjoy, are John Vlismas, David Kau, Stuart Taylor, Rob Fridjon and Riaad Moosa. , I've always been into sports journalism, and would love to cover either a major rugby event or tennis tournament someday. Some of the drivel that certain journalists write, can be beyond comprehension at times. I know tennis stats and records almost inside out, and my rugby union knowledge is right up there. (I've been told...) |

| I was born and bred in Johannesburg, South Africa, to a Welsh mother, and a Dad from the Lake District in Cumbria, in November of 1971. I believe I was born at the wrong time in some ways, as I was way too young to enjoy the 70's culture, and all the amazing music created by that generation. I also missed the Beatles and the 60's, so I'm definitely from the wrong decade in that sense. I'm glad that I was in my mid-thirties when Breeze launched though, so for that, I'm eternally grateful!
I'm a fanatical Springbok Rugby supporter, and I don't think I'll ever get over our World Cup victory in 2007. The country really needed that and the boys did us proud. I just hope that positive feeling rubs off on all sectors of society, because that beautiful country needs to step out of the shadow it's in at the moment. Passionate about the country of my birth, and I still believe the world's greatest band (in my humble opinion) will finally achieve worldwide recognition - It's about time. Remember the name JUST JINJER...
I'm a fun person to be around, but don't cross me, or anyone close to me. Will do anything for anyone - might be a problem sometimes - but that's me. I've tried to change, but I can't.
I've recently come out of a seven year relationship, but it was a positive experience that I've learned from. Being single gives me a lot more time to pursue my dreams through Breeze, and it's a chance I'm going to grab with both hands.
I've lived in Caerphilly, South Wales since 2000, and have made hundreds of friends in that time. It's a far cry from Johannesburg, but it's a good little town and I'm pretty content here. Having come from a predominantly hot country, the UK weather sometimes get's me down, but there's always BREEZE TRAVEL to turn to!
I'm into most sports, but my passions are rugby and tennis. I'd love to play as much tennis as I did back home, but time and weather mostly put that in jeopardy. I have an exercise bike though, and do 50km most days and some weight training...gotta stay fit with the big 40 not too far away...
My local pub is the Court House, where I met most of the friends I ever made in Caerphilly, so I'm obviously one of the more established regulars...
BREEZE is definitely the way forward for me - recession, credit crunch or not! I urge you all to have a proper look at this...I don't regret it, and I'm certain that you won't either.
Peace. |
