The FSB began in 1974 from a single letter by Mr Norman Small to the Guardian which was read by small business owners at the time. Today membership exceed over 200,000 individual small companies yet the FSB has never lost its' grass roots origins.
Today we operate in 33 regions around the United Kingdom and uniquely in this day and age of spin doctors and professional lobbying organisations, the FSB is still run on a voluntary basis.
