When it comes to this life, we only get 1 body. This body can do amazing things and be a wonderful asset for many years, but only if we learn proper care and maintenance.
What Are You Drinking?
OFFLINE

Ok, I've been traveling for the past 3 months now and have been to several dozen friends and family members homes up to this point.

There has been 1 thing that has been bothering me most above all the rest.

Wanna guess what that is?

It's what everyone is drinking!

From gatorade, powerade, kool-aid, grape drink, orange drink ( I can't call it juice because it's less than 10%, which makes it pasteurized sugar water), to diet soda, regular soda, processed artificially sweetened tea, aluminum canned beer, whole non-organic pasteurized homogenized fortified cow's milk, coffee, and no potable drinking water!

Come on people...

The human body is anywhere from 55% to 78% water depending on body size.

To function properly, the body requires between one and seven liters of water per day to avoid dehydration; the precise amount depends on the level of activity, temperature, humidity, and other factors.

I've been to friends houses that do not have a fresh supply of drinking water!

Tap water does not count!

There are so many things turning up in our tap water from the obvious chlorine and floride to heavy metals, bacteria like E. Coli, prescription drugs and you name it.

Tap water is straight up nasty and wrong. Especially in the big cities.

Then you take into account that tap water is usually hard water. (Hard water is the type of water that has high mineral content.)

A UK nationwide study, funded by the Department of Health, is investigating anecdotal evidence that childhood eczema may by correlated with hard water.

Then I have some friends and family that have super packs of miniture bottled waters.  You know the ones that have maybe 8 ounces in them and you go thru like 5-10 of them a day.

Can anyone say "environmental disaster"?

Not only that, but then you take into consideration what those water sources really are (and most are not what you think), the leaching of the plastics into the water from the bottle itself that act as hormone disrupters, the acid/alkaline balance of the water and you do not have good water.

So seriously, where are you getting your water from?

Are you drinking enough pure, clean water?

When analyzing the trends of where we are headed, there are some great things coming to market.

All types of portable water filtration systems.

I've got a few from a company called Wellness Water.

I got a portable one that holds about 2 glasses of water and has it's own filter built in and lasts for over 100 gallons.  It's a reusable bottle that does not get thrown out every fill up and is very simple and easy to maintain.

I chose Wellness because of the scientifiic technology they presented.

It's not only a filtration system, it's a water enhancer as well.  Your drinking water will go thru 7 stages.  From filtering out particles, contaminents, floride, chlorine etc, to breaking the water into smaller molecules which makes for better & faster hydration, slightly alkalizing the water (makes it better for your body), to running it thru a rare volcanic stone which releases trace minerals into the water.

Like this 1 Wellness H2O Reusable Water Filtration Bottle

They have a carafe for your fridge Wellness Carafe (2.3 Litres), (which I also have) whole house filters, over and under sink Wellness S-III Kitchen Under Counter Unit setups and shower filters ( Wellness Shower ).

I even bought one for my shower head ( Wellness Shower ) which is another story altogether when talking about water and your hot steamy shower.

So...  What are you drinking?

Think about it.

To your health and well-being,

When a mega-trend and a compelling business model collide
OFFLINE

With the Emergence of the projected 1 Trillion dollar a year Wellness Industry, I found this research report short and to the point.

Why?

Because recent studies showed that of the 96% of people whom lay awake at night, they are either thinking of Health or Financial issues. So if there was 1 simple way to impact both of them with Wellness Products that were scientifically validated, on the cutting edge and having huge effects on people's health, I'm sure not only would they want to know about it, but so would others that they know, love and care about.

This is considered by some top financial experts like Robert Kiyosaki as the Perfect Business.

Nutritional MLMs: a rare blend of growth and value

Excerpts from The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. Research Report
August 2007

When a mega-trend and a compelling business model collide

The mega-trend: riding the health/wellness wave

The health/wellness mega-trend is one of the most visible social developments across the globe…It represents one of the fastest growing segments of the market, namely the natural/personal care, functional foods and nutritional supplements arenas.

The enticing business model: direct selling’s appeal

From a business standpoint, direct selling is fairly straightforward: instead of products being sold through a retail store or the internet, a representative sells directly to consumers. Relative to a traditional retail setting, the sales approach, is more targeted and the representative tends to be more informed about the product being sold.

Furthermore, direct selling provides representatives with several lifestyle improvements such as supplemental income, the ability to work from home, a chance to run their own business, and improved on the job morale.

…However, it is not simply the unconventional approach that attracts so many people to this model. Rather, the primary driver is the unique compensation structure that the majority of direct selling companies employ.

In a multi-level marketing model, representatives can not only make money selling a product, but they are also compensated based on the revenues generated by the representatives whom they recruit into the business.

A representative’s recruits are referred to as a downline, and as it expands, so do commissions.

Compelling marketing plans

Distributor compensation design is a key structural feature of the multi-level marketing model. As noted earlier, representatives earn income: (1) by selling product at a markup; and (2) on the group volume generated by one’s downline.

Across the nutritional MLM space, [public companies’] commissions as a percent of sales, has run as low as 35% and as high as 44%. Therefore, a marketing plan that is both lucrative up-front and realistic for growth is an important structural attribute.

Nutritional direct selling is a powerful combination

While the standalone prospects of the health and wellness and the direct selling industries are strong, an even more powerful vehicle is created when the two are combined…

The lack of information about vitamins and other supplements is apparent. In many retail settings, shelves are overcrowded with multiple varieties and brands of similar product, and non-knowledgeable salespeople do not facilitate the shopping experience…

In addition, there is no better advocate for a nutritional product than the user his/her self. Once someone’s life is changed due to the product, strong loyalty can be created both to the product and to the business opportunity.

Goal - Balanced Hormonal System
OFFLINE

Principle #1 - A “Mother” hormone “turns itself into” any one of the sixteen different hormones our adrenal glands produces to help bring our hormonal system into balance (homeostasis).

Principle #2 - The “mother hormone” (DHEA) reaches peak production between the ages of 20-25. By the age of 65, we only have 5% production of DHEA.

Principle #3 - We are able to produce very little of the Phytosterols from our foods today.  The real problem is that we do not get enough Phytosterols from foods — only about 3-5 mgs vs the 50-75 mgs other cultures get.  We need essential phytosterols which the body can then easily convert to DHEA.

If we can not get them from out foods, the we need to
supplement them.

- Use Dioscorea (the Mexican Wild Yam) as a precursor for DHEA

- Use
Nutraceutical grade supplements - Natural substances with scientific evidence that provide support without toxicity or chance of overdosing.

Some possible symptoms of Hormonal system being out of balance:

Overweight, Allergies, Arthritis,

Coronary disease, Memory Loss,

Depression, Atherosclerosis, PMS

Menopause, Osteoporosis, High Cholesterol,

Diabetes, Hay Fever, Multiple Sclerosis,

Stress, Alzheimer’s, Liver Problems, Aids,

Cancer, Aging

Remember if it’s a path of Wellness that we seek, then it’s all about creating a balance
within ourselves and our systems.

When you balance out your hormone/endocrine system not only will you feel great, you will not have to think of all the things that could happen if you are chronically out of balance, like all the things listed above.

Open your Mouth and Check Your Grill! aka Your Teeth!
OFFLINE

When I was but a young lad I began to get cavities. Unbeknown to me I would begin receiving amalgam fillings. (The silver looking ones)

In my mid 20's I began experiencing all types of health challenges that showed up in the form of Brain fog, memory loss, depression, irritability, inability to concentrate, blurry vision, lack of energy, metallic taste in mouth, hair loss in patches the size of 50 cent pieces, shortness of breath (even though I was training in Martial Arts 6 days a week) and blood in my stool to name a few.

After visiting numerous doctors and naturapaths and whomever else I could afford at the time, I was finally diagnosed with mercury and heavy metal poisioning. As well as: leaky gut, clogged liver and kidneys, parasites, severe candida, clogged lymphatic system, numerous food allergies and multiple nutritional deficiencies.

On my path to regaining and rebuilding my health, almost every issue led back to the root problem of the amalgam fillings.

Do your health and well-being a huge wellness must - Go over to the mirror, open your mouth and CHECK YOUR GRILL!

If you have any silver looking metal fillings - THAT IS MERCURY!

GET IT REMOVED IMMEDIATELY IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR WELL-BEING. (By someone whom is properly trained in the safe removal so as not to make conditions worse).

Begin your education on what that deadly substance is doing to you and pass it on.

Upon reflection years later, I can say that this is one of the main reasons why I am so passionate about helping educate and inform others about Wellness Solutions.  Having been ill, feeling sick like I was dying, and then to be well again, better than before, I almost feel passionately obligated to share what I have learned over the years on my path of regaining and maintaining Health and Wellness in my life.

Let's talk about the Endocrine System
OFFLINE

The endocrine (hormone) system is the part of the body that regulates how we metabolize food, function sexually, repair tissue damage, it influences our moods and energy levels and supports overall health.

The endocrine system is made up of various glands including: the pituitary, hypothalamus, pineal, the thyroid, parathyroid, thymus, adrenals, kidney, pancreas, ovaries and testes.

Each part of the endocrine system is responsible for making various hormones to control and coordinate bodily functions.

Hormones are produced and released into the bloodstream.

The specific molecular shape of each hormone matches up and only slots into receptors on its target cells, tissues or organs.

Hormones work by altering the chemistry of their target cells.

A hormone does not initiate a cell’s biochemical reactions, but adjusts the rate at which they occur.

Different hormones are released according to different trigger mechanisms.

The endocrine system is constantly working to create a balance by controlling the release of hormones by their respective glands. Much like a thermostat would control the temperature of a room by turning on and off the heat and a/c.

So if gland A produces hormones 1,2,3,4,5 and gland B produces 6,7,8 and gland C produces 9,10,11 etc… Then in some cases gland A releases 1,2,3,4,5 and then gland B recognizes those and responds by producing ”x” amount of 6,7,8 and then gland C detects those and produces “x” amount of 9,10,11. and they are directly responding to the levels in the blood.

In other cases it is controlled by a different intermediate mechanism with a feedback system.

When it comes to hormonal disorders “Hyper” implies an excess of hormone, making it’s target receptors too active. And “Hypo” implies reduced production or action making it underactive.

Hormonal disorders or imbalances can have widespread effects and cause extensive problems all around the body.

And unfortunately, all synthetic hormones and steroids have potentially damaging side effects.

However all hope is not lost if you are working on creating or maintaining a balance of your endocrine system.

The discovery of Phytosterols, which are natural substances in plants that are very similar to hormones or hormone precursors, have been shown to have a wide range of beneficial effects on the body.

When humans eat plant foods, phytosterols are ingested and are found in the serum and tissues of healthy people.

When ingested, these phytosterols can naturally balance the hormone system and restore the body to it’s optimal functioning without causing a further imbalance in the hormones.

Phytosterols are not hormones. They are the food for hormone production in the body.

Research has found that because phytosterols produce the prohormones DHEA and progesterone, a broad spectrum of conditions can be addressed or prevented through its use.

More on that later…… Hope you learned something of value.

Glyconutrients, Do I have to have them?
OFFLINE

Did you know that the study of glyconutrients is revolutionizing the science of medicine?

Tens of thousands of research studies prove they are VITAL for health and longevity.

Glyconutrients are a combination of 8 monosaccharides (sugars) extracted from plants that have been scientifically identified as essential to the proper function of our body. These nutrients are not the kind of sugar we should avoid.

They are considered bioactive sugars.

However, only 2 of the 8 essential sugars (carbohydrates or monosaccharides) that our bodies need are currently readily available in our modern diets. Our body does have the ability to synthesize the other 6, however this is considered as a state of starvation. And since many people have inadequate nutrition, toxic bodies, metabolism errors (lack of enzymes or vitamins), are stressed, than frequently this synthesis does not occur, which can be detrimental to our health.

Obtaining these nutrients in supplemental form is therefore of VITAL importance. Even small amounts of these essential nutrients, or lack of them, can have profound effects on our health.

Glyconutrients aid in a process called glycosylation that links specific saccharides with proteins to form glycoproteins.

Glycoproteins are critical for proper gland, organ, and hormone function.

Numerous hormones, hormone receptors, and hormone binding proteins are glycoproteins, and they form the structure of every cell in your body.

These nutrients also provide the building blocks for cell to cell communication and enhance the bioavailability and utilization of other nutrients.

They also assist in the ability of our immune system to detect diseases, toxins, and viruses.

Glyconutrients have been found to strengthen the immune system and naturally increase killer cells in healthy people up to 50% and in sick people up to 400%.

In tests conducted at leading institutes around the world, glyconutrients have shown to have antiviral and antibacterial effects, act effectively as antioxidants because they stimulate glutathione production, lower cholesterol, increase lean body mass and decrease body fat, speed up wound healing, releive allergy symptoms, and dramatically improve health of people with autoimmune diseases such as diabetes and arthritis to name a few.

Why you need to make sure you are getting all your glyconutrients in your body everyday.
OFFLINE

I came across this great listed summary that was a brief scientific reminder as to why I passionately tell everyone I care about and come across about glyconutrients and the need to learn about and supplement them.

This was listed as "Some Thoughts on Glyconutrients"  in the book "
How to Survive on a Toxic Planet" by Dr. Steve Nugent.

  • Durning the early 20th Century, carbohydrates were thought to be compounds used to provide energy without any other functions.
  • In the first years of the 21st century, we have learned that necessary carbohydrates in the form of glyconutrients are vital for correct structure, function, relationships of cells, membranes, messenger molecules, enzymes, antibodies hormones, binding, signaling, tumor spread and all other biological systems.
  • Modern diets are deficient in glyconutrients, as well as other nutrients.
  • Growing evidence of the value of glyconutrients has been documented in human, animal and cell biology studies.
  • Even congenital defects of glycosylation have shown improvement with glyconutrients.
  • Glyconutrients are modulators, not stimulators.
  • Many diseases relate to abnormal glycobiology.
  • Many diseases related to abnormal glycobiology go unrecognized.
  • Research shows some diseases can be sugar-printed.
  • What we have learned thus far is only the tip of the iceberg.

The human body will correct itself, but only if it has the tools to do the job it was designed to do.

"Glyconutritionals-including mannose, fucose and glucose- have been documented to be theraputic and even life-saving."   - RSM Conference, Glycobiology & Medicine, 2000

This book is very educational.  If you wanna learn about our food chain, the environment, your body, and things you should know about how they interact and function together, then I highly recommend this book.  Remember, Applied Knowlegde is KING! (and the book only cost a couple of bucks).

Did you know this about your hormones?
OFFLINE

Did you know that hormones regulate your body processes.  They are chemical messengers that create biochemical responses that affect our appetite, body temperature, immune system, memory, mental state, metabolism, sleep, libido, and much, much more?

Did you know that Hormones are also responsible for our male and female attributes including our sexuality?

Did you know that when our hormones are not in balance or are diminished, we face an infinite variety of health challenges?

Did you know that supplementation with synthetic hormone replacement drugs has always been controversial and may actually cause more problems?

Did you know that scientific research reveals that adequate DHEA in the body can slow the aging process, and prevent, improve, and even reverse conditions such as cancer, heart disease, memory loss, obesity, and osteoporosis?

Did you know that DHEA blood levels peak between the ages of 20-25 and then decline with age in both men and women?

Did you know that phytosterols and glyconutrients, which are natural substances, extracted from plants, provide the nutrients and building blocks necessary for the proper support of our bodies own production of hormones and the balancing of our endocrine (hormone) system?

Did you know that the Mexican Wild Yam extract is almost identical to DHEA and contains a virtual biochemical storehouse of valuable phtyosterol hormone precursors?

Did you know that there is a safe, all-natural supplement available that can provide your body naturally with the building blocks it needs to enhance and balance your hormonal reserves as nature intended?

Did you know that many people take a Mexican Wild Yam supplement to enhance their immune system, and to level out their hormones?

Did you know that I take this stuff everyday and you should be as well to maintain vibrant, long lasting health?

Do you know what the most important nutrient is for health maintenance?
OFFLINE

What if I told you it was the one that was missing?

If I told you that your diet was Vitamin C deficeint and you had scurvy, would you hesitate to take a Vitamin C supplement?

If I told you that you were deficeint in a group of necessary sugars called glyconutrients so that you could stay healthy and fight disease, would you hesitate to take them in supplement form?  Maybe.

The difference may only be that you already understand one and not the other.

You see when most people think of sugar they think sweet table sugar and bad stuff or no good.  When in actuality, not all sugars are created equal.

You see, there is also something called "necessary biologically active sugars."

Out of the over 200 carbohydrates found in nature only 8 of them so far have been identified as belonging to this group of "necessary biologically active sugars".

Only challenge is that we are now only finding 2 of them in ample supply in our Modern Diets, Glucose and Galactose.  The other 6, Fucose, Mannose, Xylose, N-acetyl neuramic acid, N-acetyl-glucosamine and N-acetyl galactosamine are no longer found in abundant quantities.

In the past, we seemed to get alot more of them in our diets.  In fact, most of the plants around the world that are known as "healing plants" have been found to have a high glyconutrient content.

So where are these glyconutrients normally found?

They are normally found in things like: aloe vera, astragulus, saps, gums, garlic, certain mushrooms, yeasts, husks, breast milk, coconut meat, echinacea, maize, pectins from fruit, some algaes, certain herbs.

However with things like: Green harvesting, processed foods, preservatives, increased toxins, a limited supply of options and varieties at most grocery stores, and depleted soil it has gotten even harder to get an ample amount of these glyconutrients in today's modern food chain.

So what do you do?  Do you research to find out more?  Do you go ahead and
supplement them into your daily diet?

"There are an increasing number of scientists who feel that the lack of these essential plant nutrients is related to the development of chronic disease of all kinds.  There is increasing evidence that we need to take these nutrients as supplements for continued health and to help our bodies to regain health when we are deficient in these nutrients."
  Walter W. Meyer, M.D.

The scientific evidence is now overwhelming in the role of these VITAL nutrients, the lack of proper amounts in our modern diets, the need to supplement them into our daily lives and the health benefits of taking them on a regular basis.

Be sure that you and your loved ones find out about this now and take action today to start living a more healthy and vibrant life.

You can
learn more and order them in supplement form here.

It's a philisophical difference....
OFFLINE

Your body is a magnificent, wonderful bio-machine.  It was designed with an innate program of wanting to live, wanting to be well, wanting to function normally, wanting to be the perfect vehicle for your soul to be here and experience this amazing thing we call life.

So lets think about how this wonderful body works.  Your body has certain elements that it requires in order to build proper structures called cells.  Cells make tissues, tissues make organs, make systems, make the body.

In order for these basic building blocks to build themselves, they require specific nutrients.

Without these nutrients your body cannot make proper cells and those cells cannot function the way they are suppose to.

Once you have a bunch of cells that are abnormal and not functioning properly, we start to take notice with symptoms.  We may not be able to sleep properly or have enough energy to get thru the day or whatever it may be for you.

Now what I want you to recognize is that it is just a symptom of your body not building proper structures and not functioning the way it was designed to.

So when this happens, Does it make more sense to go take a sleeping pill or pain killer or whatever, or does it make more sense to give your body the required elements so that it can do what it was designed to do and get to the root of the cause?

Do you really think your body is not sleeping well because you are not producing enough ambien?

Or maybe it's that your hormone system is out of balance and is not getting the raw materials to make hormones.

Do you think you have allergies because you are not getting enough clarinex?

This list could go on forever........

The point here is that it is a philisophical difference in the way you think about your body and taking care of it.

Do you want to mask symptoms forever until something serious and possibly life threatening goes wrong or do you want to supply your body with the essentials that it requires for proper structure and function?

Seriously, think about that for a moment and then take a look at yourself and how you have been doing it so far.

Do you need to make some adjustments and learn proper care?

Do you need to learn what is essential and how to clean out your system with cleanses and detoxing?

Or maybe you need a painkiller to numb this all out and a sleeping pill so you can go back to sleep and not have to think about anything.

We need to learn to get away from the quick symptom fix of a drug and move more into a longer term thinking of supporting my system for optimal health approach.

This is a philosophy that you adapt that guides your thinking processes and filters your input as to what is right for you and your body.

As always, To Your Health and Wellbeing,

The 4 main reasons we have Health Issues
OFFLINE

The 4 Major Reasons We Have Health Issues

Did you know that if you break it down and categorize it, we usually only have health issues for 4 main reasons.

Sounds pretty simple yet profound when you understand it.

So what are the 4 major reasons?

1 - Nutritional Deficeincies - If you have deficeincies in essential nutrients then you will not have the raw materials needed which are used as basic building blocks to build cells and to have them function normally.  This is what I like to refer to as Essential Nutrients for proper Structure/Funtion.  You have to have them for your body to live, period.

2 - Toxicity - Your body is known to accumulate toxins. Toxin comes from a Greek word meaning “Poison”, so toxins are poisons and they can kill you.  Toxins come from Internal by-product waste and external chemicals that are in the Air we Breathe, the Food we Eat and the Water we Drink.  In today’s toxic environment we are bombarded with over 75,000 different man made chemicals that are all around us and are unnatural to this planet and Our Bodies.  Therefore, you must periodically detox the body to help rid yourself of these toxins so they do not interfere with normal cellular function.    We will want to learn how to detox/cleanse: the Colon (intestines), Liver/Gallbladder, Kidneys/Bladder, as well as cleansing/detoxing for parasites, candida yeast and heavy metals.  All of which will interfere with normal physiological function and may cause Health Issues.

3 - Stress - We have all heard the term and I’m sure are familiar with the feelings of Physical, Mental and Emotional Stress.  Stress will interfere with normal function and actually change your physiology.  In today’s world you NEED to have stress reducing activities.  Whether it be in the form of Meditation, yoga, sitting in nature, exercise, massage or any other activity that calms your mind, brings you back into the awareness of the Now and relaxes your mind/body/spirit.

4 - Electropollution - This is a new term for most and deals with today’s high tech world.  Electropollution refers to all of the things that can interfere with your body’s natural energetic field.  Things like: Cell phones, power lines, power grids, laptops, cell towers, satellites, satellite dishes, radio waves, etc….  All of these things can mess with your energy field and cause health issues.  There are now a multitude of things that you can do to offset these electrodisturbances.

And there you have it, the 4 major reasons that we have health issues.

Look forward to : How to address these issues for OPTIMAL HEALTH and WELLBEING.

To Your Health and wellbeing,

Healthy Success
OFFLINE
There was a seminar I went to a few years back where one of the speakers gave a talk on nutrition and supplements.

This guy owned a health and wellness research institute that studied all of the claims that people were making about different programs so that they could differentiate what was really working.

During his talk, he made a key point about health that I will always remember.

The key thing he said was that successful people that they studied did not get successful and then healthy, they got healthy and then successful as a result.  The people that got success and did not take care of their health quickly spent it all working on regaining the health they lost in the process.

So there lies the question of....

What are you doing to maintain your health while you work on your success?

Are you getting enough exercise?

Drinking enough purified water?

Eating enough real, raw, natural foods?

Getting the right supplements?

When it comes to supplements I always ask people a few basic questions.

What are the essentials for the proper structure and function of the human body?

What are you eating?

Are you getting enough of all your essentials?

If not, that is where you should always start with a supplement program.

Essential means that your body cannot make it from other resources.  You have to ingest them thru diet.

Now look at what you are eating and build your supplement program around that.

You see I personally supplement for proper structure/function.

Structure/Function means that my body requires it in order to build proper cellular structures and carry out normal physiological functions.

There are a lot of supplements out there that work great ON the human body, but only a few that actually MAKE the human body.

If you are going to supplement make sure that you get what your body requires for proper structure and function first.  Then you can do all the fun - look what happens when I take this - stuff.

All Wellness and Illness starts at the basic building blocks of your body, the cells.

If they are built strong and given what they need to function, then you are well.  If you do not give yourself the raw materials you need for proper structure/function then your cells are not built properly and lose function.
When this happens to enough cells, you become ill.  Whether that is some kind of term the doctor gives to you as a named disease or it is in the form of low energy, cloudy thoughts, unrestful sleep, crankiness, low drive or you name it, you need better nutrition.

So what is essential?

We know that the body requires:

26 different vitamins

72+ trace minerals
Fatty acids (omega 3's, 6's, 9's)
Amino acids (proteins)
8 Glyconutrients (bioactive sugars required for cellular recognition and communication)
Phytosterols (plant hormones that your body converts to make human hormones)
Antioxidants (protection and repair)
Pure water

Now we ask,

Are you working on Your Health so You Can Be A Great Success?

To Your Health and Well Being,

Shawn King
