 I have had the need for the last 8 years to make international calls abroad. I had family over in Thailand and business in Spain. It was costing me a small fortune to keep in touch with people using my normal landline with BT. 8 years ago, BT were charging more than £1 per minute to phone Thailand, it was extortion.
I found a site called www.18185.co.uk that claimed that they offered massive savings for International and Domestic calls.
I've been using them for a few years and currently pay 0.5p per minute to phone landlines in Spain, 1p per minute to phone landlines or mobiles in Thailand. And that's all from my landline or my mobile. It's marvellous.
I even use it for calling 0845 numbers as they only charge 0.5p per minute.
